5.0 out of 5 stars – The Arabian Caper is a great read!
Dunev has written a narrative of a great con job around interesting, first-person insights into a closed, entitled, super-wealthy, and patriarchal culture. He puts you in the first class section of the Concorde jetting off to an afternoon meeting in Geneva, hobnobbing with the Saudi Oil Minister, and, while managing the assets of those wealthy beyond imagination, dancing around “crossing the line” between fair business and embezzlement. Great read all the way to the end. More!
5.0 out of 5 stars – A deep, satisfying dive to the powerful inner circles of Wall Street and Saudi Arabia.
The Arabian Caper is a first-hand look inside the special relationships and careful handling required to broker Wall Street deals with Saudi clients. In an era long before the Khashoggi incident but seemingly not far removed, Mr. Dunev grants the reader an all-access pass to the personal struggles involved in managing these upper-stratosphere clients as well as the inner workings of Saudi royalty and their occasionally questionable choices of confidantes. The Arabian Caper is an excellent read.
5.0 out of 5 stars – A Powerful Insider’s View of Money and Manipulation!!
The Arabian Caper is a well written, brilliantly paced story of the power that surrounds those who control the global oil markets and the rarified circles of influencers who trade off that power. Mr. Dunev told a great tale of the “truth is what you perceive it to be” if that truth suits your needs……regardless of how smart, rich and powerful you are. Great inaugural literary effort. More please.
5.0 out of 5 stars – Interesting true tale of intrigue and fraud.
I liked the fact that I know the author. It could make a pretty good film and it would be topical because of the involvement of the Saudi royals in this tale.
5.0 out of 5 stars – This is a real-life story, not a tale of fiction.
The very first paragraph in the very first Chapter piqued my interest, and it was sustained for the entire book. I found this real-life tale of intrigue and deceit more absorbing than those unbelievably fantastic tales that require a reader’s suspension of disbelief to be able to get through the entire book. My only disappointment is this book wasn’t longer. Peter Dunev has a knack for narrative. I’m definitely looking forward to the author’s next book.
5.0 out of 5 stars – Book
A quick and fascinating read. Read like a novel even though it is fact. A great read. Can’t wait to see another work from the author.
A daring book that keeps one turning the pages with enthusiasm. Vivid storytelling and exciting narrative! I’m looking forward to reading the Author’s next book, “The Wayward Marine.”
5.0 out of 5 stars – Good story !!
Exciting adventure on a few continents that kept you engrossed till the end.
Well done!
Fantastic writing and a great story that makes you want to read the book front to back in one sitting.
